What is Burns?
Burns is of two type it means burn may be minor or severe. minor burn can be treated at home but severe burn should be treated by the doctor. Burn is classified in to three category which is according to their degree of seriousness i.e. first degree which is normally caused by the heat which causes redness, pain and swelling, second degree is severe and causes to the blisters and severe redness and third degree is the deepest and may be painful because of nerve damage.
Causes of Burns
- it occurs from steam, hot bath water, tipped-over coffee cups, cooking fluids, etc
- due to the contact with the hot object like the stove, fireplace, curling iron etc.
- chemical burn or electrical burn
- large contact with sun
Herbal home remedy for the treatment and cure of burns
- For minor burns put a little bit of toothpaste or margerine on burn and it shouldnt irritate you as much.
- Combine 1 teaspoon powdered glutamine, an amino acid, to fuel gastrointestinal tract cells and cool inflammation; 1 capsule L. Acidophilus to introduce good bacteria to the gut; and 1 teaspoon herbal marshmallow or slippery elm powder to coat and soothe the digestive system. (The ingredients are available at health food stores.)
- Dab on pure essential lavender oil, the pain dissipates within 10 minutes. depending on the severity of the burn apply several times a day for a few days. it won't leave a scar and it smells good too!
- Effective home remedy for burns - Gently pour ice cold water immediately on the affected area or you might even try compresses of ice cubes. Do this for more than 5-7 minutes or until the pain stops. If any blister has formed, do not prick it.
- Good home remedy for burns - Clean the tub with hydrogen peroxide or a small amount of bleach - and be sure to rinse the tub thoroughly. For this bath you will need tons of tea bags. Brew the tea with boiling water until it is very strong, and you can cool this down with half cold water. You should not get in until the water is no longer warm, and be sure to get out when the tea water gets too cold.
- Keep cool water with a little vinegar added in it on the area until the burning stops.
- Butter - Butter can act like a salve and help a burn heal.
- Apply Colloidal silver this is a natural antibiotic and disinfectant if the burn is very painful, use in spray.
Natural home remedy for burns using aloe plant
Simple home remedy for burns - The aloe plant is a renowned burn healer. Keep a plant indoors on a shady windowsill for prompt use on the minor burns and scalds that inevitably occur in the kitchen. Snip off a leaf tip and squeeze its juice onto the burn. For larger burns, neatly trim an outer leaf off the plant. Slice through one side of the leaf lengthwise and scoop out the healing gel. Apply directly to afflicted skin. If you wish, put the gel in a small jar and mix a little vitamin E oil in with it. Vitamin E makes a good natural burn healer.
