Drink high amount of water along with a lot of roughage and fibrous foods. Include lot of grains and nuts in the diet. Fibres, grains, and nuts are good in retaining water content in the body and thus help in controlling the level of cholesterol in the body.
Few efficient and natural remedies to treat high cholesterol
- Boiling coriander seeds with water is very beneficial for the one having high cholesterol level.
- Take 5 tea cups of water and add 10 cinnamon sticks in it and boil the mixture. Add 1 teaspoon of honey in it and drink the solution when it is warm. It is very much helpful in treating high cholesterol.
- Take a glass of milk and add some garlic and boil it. Drinking this for few days lowers the cholesterol level.
- Make green leafy salad and ad some olive oil in it. This lowers the cholesterol and makes the heart efficient.
- Consume 3-4 almonds and walnuts daily along with a glass of milk early in the morning. This helps in reduction of cholesterol.
- Psyllium husk has also been found to be of good help in high cholesterol conditions. Oil made from this plant’s seed happens to contain linoleic acid, and that too almost 50 percent and you should take one teaspoon twice a day.
