Rodents are famous for their wood and other fibrous material gnawing activity. This becomes possible due to their unusual tooth structure and the rate at which their teeth grow. Techniques To Get Rid Of Rodents

For each rodent there are different strategies and techniques that can be followed to exterminate them. In this article certain measures which can work well for all such creatures are mentioned. The first thing that can be done is to keep a great check on the availability of their food stuffs. The rodent pests can be caught effectively and within budget with the help of traps. There are two categories of traps one that catch them and other which kill them. It is advised that the first one be used if the infestation is not so large in number and if the numbers get out of control we should utilize the second trap to completely end any possibility of their returning.

Burrowing Rodents

For burrowing rodents, their habitat should be attacked first. This will make them loose their hiding place and other strategies in combination can provide excellent output. Fumigating gases in the tunnel or the burrow is the best way to do this. There are rodent repellants available in the market that can work quite well in certain cases. The poisoning of rodents is also an option but for few species, such as squirrels, this might create great trouble as their predators are too many and we end up killing them too as they feed on the poisoned rodent. Domestic animals like cats or dogs can be pet who act as natural predators for the rodents.
