Pubic lice are a type of parasite which is generally present in the pubic area of the individual thriving on the pubic hair. The parasite Pthirus pubis represents a crab and hence is also known as crab lice. But if the problem is too much then medicated creams like Derbac-M, Quellada, RID, and Prioderm can be very effective in controlling the lice. These creams are generally applied all over the pubic area, which is spread, and then allowed to get absorbed for a few hours. The process is repeated every week.
