Geese are migratory birds and pose a great problem for the people whose property they make their abode in their migratory visit. While it may seem that they can actually beautify the garden, the quantity of waste they produce can actually make you feel the other way round.

Overcome the Geese Problem

The first thing is that we should never feed the geese and even prevent our neighbors from doing so. This discourages them to a great extent from invading your property. We can use decoys particularly predator traps or other animals that the geese feel are hostile to them.

Chase the geese away

Modern animated decoys are also of great help. Real animals like dogs of bigger breeds can be reared that can chase the geese but it is important that they do not hurt or kill the geese. By growing tall grasses in your property or muddy tracks around the border of your pond can repel them. A bird fence that the geese cannot cross can also be built along the borders. Modern technological repellants and equipments can prevent them from entering your property. For example, sound repellants, water sprinkler or devices that can float on water and emit light frequently at regular intervals. A number of chemical repellants are also available easily in the market. Hunting geese is not a feasible option as the geese count is dwindling.
