Lock it, open all the windows and leave it. The bat will leave the house on its own. Catch It:If the bat is not willing to leave the house on its own, get fishing net on put on your leather gloves. Capture the creature, bring it out and let it go. Keep in mind, that bats are very delicate. So handle with care. Serious Problem:If you have found that the bats are beginning to infiltrate your house, wait until dusk. They will go out to feed and this is the time to plug the hole. If it does not help, unplug the hole, let them fly away and again plug it after a few hours. Do this before fall as you sure do not want baby bats trapped in your house. Dog/Cat Repellent:It is a very good idea to get rid of bats, which are roosting out of your house, using this method. Spray some of the repellent to the infested area when the bats have gone out to feed. Avoid direct spraying on the animals. Fiberglass Insulation:Fiberglass is very irritating to the skin of bats. A thin layer of insulation will be sufficient to keep the bats away. |
