Feeding your baby with a bottle

How To Bottle-Feed?

When bringing up an infant, feeding it with a bottle can be one of the toughest times. Most parents are confused with the type of formula they need to use. They are also worried about the child spitting out and most are not sure what kind of bottle they need to use. There are many other things that parents have to look into when they start feeding their child with the bottle.

Things you need to follow

First, you need the formula that will be the best for your infant. There are so many options available and the best way to choose the best is by asking the pediatrician. It is always better to get a branded formula even though it is expensive as it will be the best for the child.
At the start, it is best to get a smallest can. This will ensure that you will not need waste your money if your infant does not like the formula that you bought. If you find that your infant is spitting out milk too often, then he or she may be intolerant to lactose. There is no need to worry about this. Children will easily get over this situation.  It is best to give the kids a soy based formula in such a case.
When it comes to the bottle, there are so many types available. It is better to get a bottle with a wide neck that has a nipple in the natural shape. This will prevent the confusion that the baby may have to come across when making the transition from breast to bottle. It is better to use bottles that allow the flow levels to be controlled. This will enable the bottle to be used for a long time. Getting a bottle with a good grip will enable the baby to hold on properly.
When bottle feeding the baby, make sure that:

  • You use burp clothes to clean the bottle after every use.
  • Sterilise the bottle at least once time in a single day.
